There's a reason we call money a "livelihood". It pays our bills. It buys our food. It purchases gifts for loved ones. It supports hobbies and interests. Money is a symbol for what matters most to us. Others can tell what we value by where and how we spend our money. Jesus says where our treasure is, there our heart is. Money matters.
This is a chance to put our money where our mouth is. It should be a reverent and joyful act of trust and worship. There is no magic number or formula for giving; no set dollar amount that equals obedience or blessing. But it is healthy to wrestle with what to give.
We believe what Paul says: that God loves a cheerful giver, and we should give what we determine in our heart, knowing full well that we can't out-give God. And we trust that Jesus will show Himself faithful to you and His Church with whatever amount you decide to give, believing that those who sow plenty, will reap plenty.
Thank you for following Him well!
